Nestled in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, this little restaurant has been providing delicious healthy cuisine since 1996. Cafe Forte uses locally grown produce and organic ingredients to produce meals that are good for you and taste good too.
The Feel
Sit outside on the covered sidewalk and people watch; you’ll feel like you’re in a small European bistro. Or, head inside and enjoy the cool, quiet intimate dining room. Local artwork displayed on the walls reminds you that you are in the center of Scottsdale art scene. Call Cafe Forte in Scottsdale ahead for reservations (480-994-1331) because this little cafe fills up quick. You can also order ahead for takeout to enjoy on your villa’s patio with its great mountain views.
The Food at Cafe Forte in Scottsdale
Forte’s menu is full of Italian comfort food made with local ingredients when available. Their dinner menu offers vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Start your meal with their signature appetizer, the Baked Brie en Croute. The Chilled Gazpacho seems to be a customer favorite as well.
Entrée selections at Cafe Forte include chicken, steak and pasta. Sweet Potato Enchilada, Spinach and Cheese Ravioli, and their Signature Café Meatloaf are just a few of the menu items waiting for you. Fish options include Horseradish Crusted Salmon and Salad of Sashimi Seared Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna.
Lunch menu items include sharing plates, and several vegetarian and vegan items. Similar to the dinner menu, several sandwiches and burgers have been added. Pasta, burgers and melted sandwiches include a Café Cuban, Tuna Melt, and several ravioli choices. And burger lovers will have a choice of beef, lamb or veggie burgers.
Happy Hour and Other Important Stuff
There is a full bar at Cafe Forte in Scottsdale, a nice variety on the wine list and daily drink and menu specials. Happy Hour is Wednesday through Friday, from 3:30pm to 6pm. Restaurant hours for lunch are Monday through Saturday from 11am to 3pm (closed Mondays from June-Oct) and for dinner are Wednesday through Saturday from 4pm to +/- 9:30. Café Forte is closed Sundays.
